Harassment and bully system in schools

Harassment and bullying in schools or in any educational institutes is unlawful in the UK under the act 2010. In school or universities may some student spreads rumors about the specific student to get revenge or degrade them it will cause the deep impact on the student mental health that leads to the depression and cause the mental illness in worst case the student may try to attempt the suicide and his or her life to stop these things.

There are two types of bullying one is direct and the other is indirect in educational system it is very common. There are many studies that tell us the suicide rate of the students is increase because of the harassment and the bullying system in the education which is very bad thing.in educational institute students try to stay strong and fight with these things but at the end of the day they give up and attempt the suicide to overcome all of these misery.

In Korean educational system there are many cases the high class students can easily bully the low class student no one is able to stop them and if some try to help the victim that person also start get bully by those high class students which leave the very bad impression on their mental health.

It is not easy to deal with the harassment only few people are able to deal with it and those who have very strong mental health those that can deal with their feeling and those who are not bothered by these things which leads them in to mental illness.

MUSIC IS DESTROYING MENTAL HEALTH ?

Technological development and excessive usage of mobile phones have lead the world towards countless mental illnesses beyond a person’s imagination. The transforming world at super-sonic pace and increased competitive behaviors among individuals with the want of more and more has lead a generation of youngsters more vulnerable to mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, hypertension and constant stress. A world formed within our mobile phones at just a single click away from us has left us comparing ourselves with everyone on social media and the hyper reality that it follows, leads the thought processes of a person towards something which becomes uncontrollable for them to take care of, if not identified by themselves and set limits to. No doubt, positive sides do beheld and outgrow various factors that have helped shape the world into the form it is right now, in many better ways, but the ultimate effect that everyone is bearing in form of mental health is something not to be ignored at all, let alone the stigma of talking about it.

Excessive scrolling on social media, mobile addiction, repetitive behaviors, constant boredom and fatigue are the aspects that are usually focused upon by researchers when discussing the effects these terminologies have on our mental health.

Meanwhile, talking about the effects music has on our mental health, we settle down and become less impulsive when we listen to music, which is due to the rhythmic and repeated elements of the song. Music is frequently used to match or alter our emotional state. While there are certain advantages to matching music to our mood, doing so can have the unintended consequence of keeping us in a sad, angry, or nervous state.

Whereas positive effects being discussed that the music has on our mental health include, reduction in stress, that is, the melodies that we listen to, with the frequency it is settled upon, different pitches affect our mood differently whereas mostly it has proven to be helpful in releasing stress for the listener. Secondly it elevates a person’s mood and motivation towards certain things, third, it is said to help improvise focus of a person, and also help in reducing anxious and depressive thoughts for a person.

For most people, music is an important part of their daily lives. Be it their aily travelling, they listen to music to keep them going. Some people turn up a favorite playlist to keep them going during a workout, too. Many people even turn their music on even cooking, taking a shower, as well as while they wrap the laundry.

For some people, music is a way to be creative, for others it's a way to relax, and for us, it can have a big impact on our mood. Music can make us dance, run faster, calm our minds, and make us remember things. Producing your own melodies, even if you just play a guitar or write lyrics to a song, proves beneficial in expressing and processing your feelings. How you feel is more important than how it sound. One thing to be mindful of is that no one has to listen to your music unless you want them to.

Emotional control is an important part of mental health. People who can't control their emotions are more likely to have psych mood disorders like distress. Medical practitioners know how powerful music can be when it comes to emotions. They can use music to help their clients improve their moods and even help relieve the symptoms of psychiatric mood disorders like depression. Besides, countless humans already hear music under their own to help them deal with their emotions. There isn't much information out there about how this kind of music listening affects their mental health, though. Brain imaging shows how people's brains respond to different types of music and how that affects how they control their emotions. In a study, it was found that men who use music to deal with negative emotions react badly to aggressive and sad music.

Screen usage-How it effects the mental health..!!!!!

Does the usage of screen really effect the mental health? How does screen usage really affect the mental health?

Everything have good or bad impact on us it’s depend on us how we utilize those thing take example of usage of the screen if we use it properly it will beneficial for us if we use in not productive way we will damage our self.

In the last two decades we have seen the digital technology bloom well that is also why we spend our most of time on the screen. Many studies shows that the more usage of the screen can cause the depression and mental health issues.

Usually kids and the adults now a days spend most of their time on the screen so that they are not able to do the physical activities and also they are not able to interact with their friends and the family face-to-face that thing lead to the reduction in the mental growth and increase the risk of depression.

Those who spend more than six hours on the screen and don’t do the physical activities they were distracted, less emotionally stable and also find difficulty to finish the task it also cause the obesity and different other types of the diseases in the children and the adults who spend more time on the screen.

Covid-19(Lock down) and screen usage

During the period of the lockdown the usage of the screen rapidly because everyone is at home and do their work from the home through different app and there is also many business which raise in the lockdown but again these are the online business which increase the screen time and the universities student take online classes and do their assignment on the laptop which increase the agitation level in the students and also that decrease the creativity level.

Many studies shows that in the lock down people are unable to interact with each other and they spend more time on screen that cause tension in the person and they are unable to focus on the work from home and their studies which leads to decrease in the quality result.

Does usage of screen low the self-esteem and increase the depression in the person?

The constant increase in the time on the screen develop the depression in the human being they spend more time on the social media in our opinion that we are connected with our family and friend but we are not connected we just replacing our real time relation with the screen. The use of mobile, tabs and the laptop is the sedentary time which leads to the depression in the person. This thing also effect the personal life because we are not able to give our time to our family.

We spent our more than half time on the social media while the screen usage on which we see many influencer and the celebrity which have the strong impact on us and we tart compare ourselves with them and try to copy them which leads to the low self-esteem you will feel discourage about that thing and the negative talk on the social media will also affect your mental health you may think poorly about yourself.

Effect on sleep

The usage of the screen have an impact on

our sleep we watch our favorite shows

,drama and play games  before going to the

sleep that effect our quality of sleep and the duration

of the sleep which leads to the worsen the mental health condition that include the depression and anxiety etc. We can observe these things in the kids and in the teenager. We should not use the mobile at least 30 min before going to the bed in order to have a quality sleep.

Support your mental health rather than harm it by using the screen we should use it in mindful. Parents should limit the usage of the mobiles, tabs etc. They should engage their children in physical activities.

Does Mental Health Really Matters ?

Heath Health Matters
The term MENTAL HEALTH is a broad term that encompasses a person's physical, financial, and social well-being. Subjective well-being is another term in mental health.

self-efficacy as seen by others Autonomy, competence, and recognition of one's intellectual and emotional capacity. Individuals with this potential are able to manage with the typical stresses of life, work, and school, among other things, while still contributing to society. Mental health and mental illness, in my opinion, are mutually exclusive. When a healthy person is put under strain by society, such as by a heavy task, a lack of financial resources, mental stress, physical trauma, or gender discrimination, their normal life pattern is disrupted.

Such illness could be in a variety of ways, it could be depression. anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt. seeking pleasure in giving pain. jealousy, agony, self-pity. superiority complex and inferiority complex, etc. All of these can eventually end up in irreplaceable psychological disorders. In most parts of the world including Pakistan, mental health is not taken seriously and mental illness is not important to people. because of this consistent ignorance today about 450 million people suffer from mental or behavioral disorders in the world according to WHO record. 50 million people are affected in Pakistan only. Among this ratio, females are affected at the rate of 11.9% than that of males are 9.3%. This is because females are exposed to more sexual violence. gender discrimination, body shaming, racism, domestic abuse, honor killings, social anxiety, fear of facing people. lack of confidence, and many others things. It is said that an educated woman creates an educated generation. But consider an uneducated, depressed, and socially unwell woman is said to create a generation, how will she create a healthy adult? It will be impossible for her to create a difference because she is unstable in her own self. She will not be able to lead a healthy house. Due to these reasons, it is believed to take care of women not only during her trimester but also after Child's birth.

"Adolescent mental health is highly complex and understudied. In east side Europe and Central side of Asia. suicide is the leading cause of death for young people. With these absurdly increasing statistics of mental illness, the world is now highlighting this issue on different media platforms. Many psychologists and doctors share awareness of TV programs. seminars both live and virtual, through blogs, etc. The main aim is to provide a better understanding of how a person should cope with these issues before they develop serious disorders.

Turning my views towards the top-notch celebrities who we think have big homes, bigger bank accounts, fancy cars, and oodles of fans. we think celebrities have it all. we believe in what we see on TV, but reality has a different story a dark side to tell. A celebrity in this world might have everything but cannot have control over his own mind and disabilities. No amount of money can bring peace and a healthy mind.

Many of today's biggest performers are opening up about their struggles with mental illness. Their bravery in speaking openly about their illnesses raised healthy awareness of modern treatments and the value of caring support. Here are a few well-known celebrities who suffered from mental illnesses: Demi Lovato, who struggled from social anxiety issues, and Chrissy Reign, who battled from postpartum depression. Steve Young suffers with social anxiety, while Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio has claimed to having OCP. All of these celebrities became the main sources of support for mentally ill people seeking help. Every year, from May 1 to May 31, there is a mental health awareness month. This month is observed in several places of the globe. "

The maintenance of a healthy mind requires different pathways for different people. Some seek help from medications, some from therapies, and some from simple group conversations. I believe. that there should be different awareness programs in schools. colleges. universities, and offices, etc. As for our individual self, we should also try to play a positive part by showing others respect and acceptance. by being nice to others by listening to what others have to say. By advocating within our circles. If we find a victim we should give him/her a helping hand instead of judging. This activity will help to build a healthy relationship with others and eventually a healthy environment.

What is Cyberstalking and How Can It Be Avoided?

What is Cyberstalking?

Cyberstalking

With the increasing rate of the internet and technology, development has been taken to a whole new level making things accessible and easily approachable within seconds. As positive as it may sound, it has given birth to a considerable extensive, sensitive issue-Cyberstalking.

Cyberstalking refers to the use of the internet to lead to stalking, or more accurately, harassing an individual or an entire organization. Cyberstalking is ethically unacceptable and unlawful as it invades people's personal online information, generally intended to defame, slander, or libel.

Types of Cyberstalking

Cyberstalkers are categorized into four types, namely, vindictive, composed, intimate, and collective. Vindictive cyberstalkers are regarded as harassers who are unrelentingly hostile and harass the victim for no apparent cause other than habit. The term "composed cyberstalker" refers to stalkers who enjoy irritating the victim and have no intention of developing any form of contact with the victim. Intimate perpetrators had a relationship with the victim and are now troubling them to avenge them. A collective type of cyberstalker refers to a group of people who purposely wants to defame an organization's reputation.

Paradigm of cyberstalking

The much visible upsurge in cyberstalking has led to greater demand for awareness concerning how cyberstalking can be practiced at the most common level. This must be instilled in a common man to shield against cyberstalking attacks. Cyberstalking has taken many complicated turns, among which comes the gathering of personal information to allegedly accuse victims of false allegations, monitoring private information through devices, flying monkeys-form of group harassment, sending viruses via links or images which can ultimately erase important details, GPS tracking which makes it accessible to follow the victim's location, syncing devices to gain updates of the victims and spoofing

 Guard against Cyberstalking

Protection against cyberstalking is essential, requiring even more critical steps to be taken. One common way is to stay as anonymous as possible. However, it is not a much practical approach in business matters. It is advisable to have separate email accounts for personal and business dealings for such issues. Installing email spam filters helps cut off the maximum possibility of phishing and cyberstalking attacks. Furthermore, it is essential to note that the internet protocol address is masked with a virtual private network (VPN). Installing antivirus software and avoiding installments of application that asks for personal information are customary handful tools practiced by the majority.

What should you do if you are being cyberstalked?

  • Make it clear to the cyberstalker that you don't want to be approached. Put it in writing and threaten to contact the cops if they don't stop. Don't interact with them after you've provided this warning.
  • If they don't stop, call the cops. Many police stations have a dedicated cyberstalking unit, yet they are unwilling to debate the definition of cyberstalking. They'll deal with it if you've been bullied, harassed, or intimidated, whether it's through Facebook, email, or spyware on your phone.
  • If you suspect that someone is tracking you using spyware, don't use your own laptop or smartphone to seek help; instead, borrow a phone from a family member or coworker.
  • A professional should check your phone and computer for spyware and other signs of compromised accounts.
  • Change all of your passwords at once.

Cyberstalking- A crime?

Cyberstalking has been recognized as a much comprehensible crime that needs to be addressed with immediate action. Hence many countries have formulated legislation to prevent cyberstalking. Cyber harassment is a punishable offense in the United Kingdom under the Protection from Harassment Act of 1997. California passed the first state-level law addressing cyberstalking as a criminal in 1999, and other states have since followed suit.

It's a good sign that cyberstalking is being understood for what it is: a serious crime.
